Ignorance has a body count. Thousands
of healthy, friendly, gentle PB's die every year due to fear and ignorance. Educate yourself, educate your friends...

I can't recommend this book highly enough.
The author takes a no-nonsense look at the media's role in shaping society's perception of "vicious" dogs.
This is a must-read for PB advocates. An excerpt: *
"Unfortunately,
as we see time and again, there never seems to be a shortage of persons using dogs as an extension of their violent tendencies,
and so Bulldogs, ever ready to please their masters, are found in situations of human initiated aggression."

This book was an eye-opening experience for me.
No doubt, as a true animal advocate, you're aware of the PETA hypocrisy...but do you also know the truth about the IN-humane
philosophies that govern the HSUS? Also, Winograd's chapter on APBT's is as concise as anything I've read
about these dogs. An excerpt:
*
"There is
no breed of dog in America more abused, maligned, and misrepresented than the American Pit Bull Terrier. There is no
breed of dog more in need of the humane movement's compassion, in need of a call to arms on its behalf..."

Photographer Traer Scott takes you inside a Providence
animal shelter. Her photographs are both endearing and heart-rending. Unfortunately, and unsurprisingly, there
are a disproportionate number of Pit Bulls in the shelter but Traer Scott portrays our precious PB's with love and honesty.

I read this entire book the same day I bought it.
Ken Foster does it right.

The follow-up to Foster's beautifully written
tale of love and rescue, "Dogs I Have Met" is equally entertaining and insightful. You'll have a
hard time putting this one down too.
